Dog Training Begins!

Animal of the Week: Walter is a 9 yr old chihuahua mix who came to Pima Paws For Life with numerous age related issues. One of the most obvious was hair loss over the majority of his body. He has regrown much of that hair and is looking good! Walter has been with PPFL for 5 months is looking for a home to call his own. Dog Training: Saturdays, 11am-12Noon Starting Jan 31st.
The PPFL Novice Obedience Training Course with Joyce at Cactus Canine Training Center will begin Sat, Jan 31st. Volunteers can choose which dog they’d like to handle from the list of dogs that are on list or recommend a dog. Must be able to commit to ALL classes as well as working with the dog 3-4x a week. If you are not able to commit to all of this, but would still like to participate when you can, you are welcome to attend classes when you can with a prior RSVP. Adoption Events:
Pet Club Adoption Event: Oracle/River location – Jan 31st from 12pm-4pm. Volunteers Needed are: Transporters, Setup/Breakdown, and Dog-Handlers. Transporters would meet at PPFL at 11am.

Anniversary Celebration: Saturday, Feb 7th, 11am-5pm
Volunteers Needed:
Setup/floaters – 9:30am
Food Servers- Dish up food into plates
Handlers – Walk adoptable dogs around and introduce them to people. Pull dogs for those interested in seeing the dogs outside the kennel.
Tour Guides – show folks through the kennels
Application/Adoption Counselors – Go over application with potential adopter once you have approved application, take application, adopter, and dog over to volunteers assigned to finalizing adoptions
