WE HAVE A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
Pima Paws for Life is moving! Our lease renewal at our current shelter is up, and due to the landlord asking for terms that included a large rent increase and a month-to-month term, we felt it is no longer possible to stay. We are very lucky to have someone who will be leasing us our new space at a cost much lower than we are currently paying, which will mean more money to care for our animals. We need to have this move completed by June 30th.
Our new place will be right down the street from our current location, and we are excited about the changes coming along with our new shelter! Our dogs will be in new kennels inside our climate controlled main building, and will enjoy daily outside bathroom breaks at least four times a day. In addition to their regular walks with our awesome volunteers, they will now have a huge grass field to play in! This field will be used for our new play group program, which will allow all of our dogs the joy of playing with their own kind, and allow them to be more balanced and happy. We will now have a separate, dedicated office space, which will also be used for our veterinary visits. Our kitties will of course be housed in their existing building, which is going to be moved down to our new place.
Instead of seeing this unexpected move as a setback, we at Pima Paws for Life prefer to look at it as an opportunity; an opportunity to improve the lives of the animals in our care, as well as the volunteers and employees who work with them, and the public who comes to see them.
