Why give?
Our dogs and cats often require medications for their recovery. Your generosity provides medications for everything from antibiotics to pain killers to Valley Fever medications and more, providing desperately needed disease treatment and relief from pain.
Your donations help to care for animals like April, who came to us very thin and with severe mange and tick fever. Mange causes continuous itching, hair loss, and scabbing, and poor little April was miserable. After receiving medication, quality food, and lots of loving care, April recovered and found a loving home.
At Pima Paws for Life, we take in every age from babies to seniors. Whether they are just beginning their lives or are in their golden years, they deserve the best care possible, and to find a loving home.
Sweet Rocky came to us emaciated and had severe mange, tick fever, and anemia. He was very weak, and the look in his eyes said he had given up. Slowly, with medication, quality food, and lots of love and kindness, Rocky recovered and blossomed.
Our darling Jack came in as a very sick tiny kitten, listless and thin and had a severe infection in his right eye. As with all of our babies too small to be left alone for very long, he went home with a staff member so that he could get the round the clock care he needed. Although his eye did not look completely normal once the infection was gone, Jack grew into a healthy, handsome boy.
Many animals we care for, like Wallee, need long-term commitment and ongoing medical treatment to heal. Wallee was attacked by three large dogs and might not have survived if a kind woman hadn’t stepped in to save him. Along with severe injuries from the attack, which left him without his left ear, Wallee suffered from advanced Valley fever, two types of tick fever, and extreme thinness. He has required multiple surgeries and long-term medications to recover. Wallee is the sweetest boy, and his incredible recovery shows what’s possible thanks to generous people like you who make it happen!
